Hlh 411A Environmental Health (2)

To introduce the student to environmental health by presenting a broad survey of the major issues facing society during this last decade of the twentieth century. Convey an awareness of how damaged environments have a negative impact on our personal health. Provide students with sufficient information and insight into environmental problems so to enable them to understand and participate in public decision making processes which will influence health and environmental quality in the future. Provide the student with some "hands on" experience with the recycling program in Jessamine County. Convey an awareness of how each person's attitudes and personal actions contribute to or detract from a healthy environment.
