microbiology and the biology of waste treatment, pollution and natural decomposition
and nutrient cycling processed. Prerequisite: Biology 302 or consent of
instructor.

Morphological, anatomical and physiological adaptations to plants found
in various biomes.
Bio 346 Ecology of the Intertidal Community (4)
A study of the interrelationship of living things and their environment
in the intertidal realm of the Pacific Ocean. Three hours lecture, three
hours lab. Prerequisite: Biology 302 or consent of instructor.
Bio 302 Ecology (3)
The study of the interrelationships of plants and animals in relation to
the environment. Field study and local ecology are emphasized. Prerequisites:
Biology 114, 143, 145 or consent of instructor.
Bio 400 Science and Technology (3)
Discusses the interaction between science and its products upon our changing
society. Emphasis is on the scientific method; genetics; population; ecology;
endangered species/habitat; nuclear power; government involvement; restoration
and management and future challenges.
Bio 414 Marine Science for Teachers (4)
A methodology class applying instrumentation in the marine environment.
An emphasis is placed upon solving physiological, chemical and ecological
problems. The scientific method is applied to original research projects.
