EcoPhysiology Exercise - Root Esterase Activity

The Montreat Watershed provides the altitudinal variability to investigate how this varable might effect plant physiology.

This exercise collected roots of Rhododentron and Mountain Laurel at different points up the mountain within the Watershed. These roots were homogenized and the esterase enzyme activity was determined though a chromatographic titer plate analysis. The enzymne activity is determined be nomoles/minute/milliliter of incubated homogenate and upon divided by a second assay for ug protein presence the activity is expressed as nm/min/ug protrein.

The linked exercise provides procedures but the collected data has not been posted.
